Dear Russell Ranch Families,

It is with great enthusiasm and gratitude that I welcome you to a new school year at Russell Ranch Elementary! I am honored to begin my second year as the principal of this wonderful learning community, where students are at the heart of every decision we make.

At Russell Ranch, we believe in cultivating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment that nurtures each child’s academic and social-emotional growth. Our dedicated team of educators is committed to inspiring curiosity, building strong relationships, and helping students grow into confident, compassionate, and capable learners.

With over twenty years in education—as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and school administrator—I am passionate about fostering student voice and agency, and ensuring every learner has the opportunity to thrive. Our work is grounded in collaboration: among staff, with our families, and across the broader community. Together, we strive to maintain high expectations, celebrate progress, and build a strong sense of belonging for all.

As we move through the year, I look forward to partnering with you to support the joy of learning, the excitement of discovery, and the strength of community. Whether it’s joining the PTA, attending a family event, or participating in one of our family engagement and learning opportunities, your involvement matters—and it makes all the difference.
